1. Are all your domain name prices in Australian dollars?

Yes. All domain prices are expressed in Australian dollars(AUD).

2. Is GST included in the price of a domain?

Yes. Australian Goods and Services (GST) tax is included.

3. What's the best type of name to get, a .com or a .com.au?

The best type of name to get is one that can be registered in the .com, .net, .org, .com.au and .net.au extensions. Protecting your brand in the more widely used domain extensions.

4. How long will it take to register my domain name?

In most cases, your registration will process within a couple of minutes of you receiving your payment receipt. All .au registrations require a manual confirmation of your eligibility details before an au registration can occur.

5. Can I sell my .com.au domain name?

Yes. AuDA changed the rules governing the sale and transfer of .com.au names in 2008. Rules governing the sale of names, including the prohibition on registering names solely for sale, are in place.

6. I can't login. I type in my email address and my password, but when I click the Login button, the page just reloads.

Although the page looks like it reloads, it is actually sending your details across to our authentication server, and coming back with a new login page as a result of the login error. We don't display specific error messages saying what part of your login has failed because we don't want to help people trying to break into accounts.

If you have any problems logging in, please use the forgotten my password page, and generate a new password.

If you are still having problems, please email support@whois.com.au and include your name and your domain name in the email.

7.How do I login using a social media account?

If you have an account with Google, Yahoo, Twitter, Facebook or OpenID, you can now choose to create an account with Whois® using your existing username and password.

If you already have an account with us, you can associate a social login to your existing account, and then you can login with either your normal password that we issue to your email address, or you can login with your chosen social login.

If you have a Google Apps account, you can now also increase the level of security you have on your domain account by using the Google 2 factor authentication service.
