1. How do I login to manage my domain name?
1.To manage your domain name, please login to the management platform by clicking the Client Login link from the top right of any page on the Whois website.
That client login link will take you to a secured login page. You can see that you are using a secured connection because we use EVSSL Certificates from Geotrust that show a "green bar" or green icon in or next to the url. The image below is what you see when you a firefox browser on a mac.
On the secured login page, you'll see the login window and you'll see links to the 4 social login services we currently support.
Enter the email address you used as the email contact on your domain registration and your password or click one of the social logins and use your existing details to access the domain management side of the Whois® site.
Click the blue Login button.
2. What do I do if my password doesn't work, or if I've forgotten my password?
If you don't have a password, or the password you have doesn't work, click on the I have forgotten my password link that appears below the blue button on the login page.
Once you are on the forgotten password page, just enter your email address and click the blue button marked [Retrieve] to generate a new password and have it sent to your email address.
3. How do I delegate my domain name?
To delegate your domain name, you'll need to have two nameserver addresses that would have been given to you by your web designer or web host.
Please login to the management interface by clicking the Client login link from the top right of any page on the Whois website.
Enter the email address you used as the email contact on your domain registration and your password or click one of the social logins and use your existing details to access the domain management side of the Whois® site.
Click the Red [Manage Domains] menu link.
You should now see a list of the domain names you have registered with us.
Click the name that you'd like to change or check the delegation details.
You will now see the show domains page. This page displays the information we have for a particular domain name. To change any of these details for your domain, you click the blue button marked [Manage Domain].
If you've used our default nameservers during your registered originally, you'll see the addresses of ns1.whois.com.au and ns2.whois.com.au, or ns1.whois.net.au and ns2.whois.net.au. These nameserver addresses will need to be removed before you can add your new ones.
Click into the boxes, delete/replace the old entries, and type in your new nameserver addresses in the space provided.
Press the blue button marked [Update Nameservers].
