1.Can I upgrade my webhosting account at any time?
Yes. If you find that you need more space, or more databases, then it is a simple matter of purchasing a new plan, and waiting for us to advise you that it has been done.
The next time you login you'll see the increased bandwidth and if applicable, new features in your cPanel.
2. How do I add-on a domain in cPanel?
We have comprehensive flash based tutorials for the cPanel available here.
3.Do you use Unix, Linux, Mac or Windows?
All our shared hosting accounts are on servers that are running Apache on CentOS Linux x86.
4.Where do I login to my webhosting cPanel?
If you recently purchased a new webhosting account with Whois®, and the domain has not yet propagated, then please refer to your welcome email, and type the following information into the address bar of your browser:
http://youripaddress/cpanel
(Example: http://1.2.3.4/cpanel) *Use the IP address mentioned in your welcome email.*
If your domain name is already pointing to your hosting account, and you've already received your cpanel login detail email, then you should be able to use the domain name to log into cPanel.
http://www.yourdomainname.com/cpanel
or
http://cpanel.yourdomainname.com/
Press the enter key, and a dialog box will return for you to type in your username and password.
The username and password can be found in your webhosting welcome email. If you do not have the correct login, please contact us at support@whois.com.au for help.

Login to your cPanel at :
http:// (yourdomain) /cpanel
Using the username and password shown in the Show Domain panel to access the Cpanel on your domain..

If you cannot see the hosting details for your domain in your management panel, perhaps hosting has not yet been created for your account, or perhaps the email account you used when you created your domain, has rejected our hosting welcome email. Please send an email to our help system at support@help.whois.com.au so someone can assist.
6.I want to use my domain with a wix/weebly/apple/google site. How do I make it work?
There are a couple ofways you can use your domain name with an external website provider like wix, weebly, apple or Google sites.
1. Change the nameservers listed against your domain to those given to you by the external provider.
If you do this, the external website provider controls your DNS, so that means that your mail and any other services attached to your domain are controlled at the new provider. This normally means that any services provided through the cPanel Whois® assigns, will cease to operate.
2. Change the DNS records for the domain name using the Advanced DNS manager in the cPanel of your complimentary or paid hosting acct.
Changing the DNS record for the www entry using the Advanced DNS Manager, will mean that people visiting the www address of your domain name will arrive at the IP address you set in the cPanel(and have been given by your external provider).
Using a domain with an external provider this way, you can still use the email and any other services found in your Cpanel and hosting acct.
