4. How do I use my new name with Google Apps?

To use your new domain name with Google Apps for business, the most important thing that you need to be able to do, is change your DNS records.

You can do this if you have web hosting or DNS management services.
If you have a cPanel® assigned, the link marked, "Show" will appear in the hosting / cPanel column.

If you don't have the domain assigned to the DNS, and you registered your domain with Whois.com.au, you can request a complimentary hosting plan with cPanel®. Requesting a cPanel® for your domain can be done by emailing the helpdesk.

Once your domain name starts to resolve for you in a browser, you should be able to login to the cPanel® for your domain.

The cPanel® will normally reside at http://yourdomain/cpanel

(If you have altered your domain DNS to point to a different server, you may be able to login at http://cpanel.yourdomain if /cpanel is not available.>

Login to the cPanel® using the credentials found inside of your Whois® domain management account for the particular domain.

Once you've logged into the cPanel® at your domain, you would need to find the icon marked, Advanced DNS editor. Click that icon and you will see a list of the current DNS records for your domain.

The first step of the Google Apps process is verifying your domain.
Google will provide you with the values for the DNS records that you will need to add.

Once the domain is verified with Google, you will be able to add in your MX records and your CNAME records.

Please remember that if you have any questions or doubts, just send through your question and we'll do our best to help you.
